Weekend Edition Sunday, Dec. 23, features Harvard's humanist chaplain

National Public Radio’s program Weekend Edition Sunday, on December 23, included a segment by Tovia Smith on Harvard’s humanist chaplain and how he provides a home for students seeking something like religious community around Christmastime.  Other atheists were quoted who were critical.  The existence of a humanist religion (i.e. Ethical Culture) was not mentioned, alas.

If you are interested in hearing that segment (it’s just over 5 minutes), go to the NPR web site, navigate to Weekend Edition Sunday, and then find the Dec. 23 program.  The segment was called “Removing Religion from Holidays a Tall Order”.
